It is important that you know exactly what we do with your personal data that you and others provide to us.
This Privacy Notice tells you what to expect in relation to personal information about you which is
collected, handled and processed by Real People Recruitment. Real People Recruitment is the Data Controller
and Processor. We acknowledge and agree that any personal data of yours that we handle will be processed in
accordance with all applicable data protection laws in force from time to time.
What is GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation is a new EU regulation which comes into effect on May 25 2018. GDPR
will update existing data protection law and place a greater accountability on organizations when using your
personal information and give you more control over your personal data.
The information we may collect
The information about you we may collect, hold and the process is set out below.
Information collected and processed for applying for open roles is as follows:
- Data to identify you, including your contact information;
- Your name;
- Your address;
- Your email address;
- Your telephone number;
- Curriculum Vitae of work history and education
How we use the information
We will use any personal data you have given to us to apply for relevant open job vacancies with our clients
and to keep you informed of any changes to that information. We will seek your consent to send your C.V/data
to any prospective employer, however, you can withdraw your consent at any time. The above information is
used to provide our services to you and prospective employers in our capacity as a recruitment agent.
The information above may be used as follows:
- To apply for open vacancies and correspond regarding opening
- To apply for upcoming vacancies and correspond regarding upcoming vacancies
- To contact you in relation to similar relevant vacancies
- If successfully placed in a role then personal data will be issued for correspondence to issue
contracts and letters of offers

letters of offers. Real People Recruitment doesn’t engage in outbound marketing.
How we hold the information
All the personal data we have is stored in a locked and secure area. Any personal data we collect record or
use in any way whether it is held on paper, on a computer or other media will comply with the General Data
Protection Regulation.
Disclosure of your information
We will need to share your information prospective employers outside of ours to apply for open vacancies
with our clients. In the event an external body contacts us requesting information in relation to you, we
will do so based on the authorisation given.
What is the legal basis for processing the information? We will rely on your consent to process the
information above which is collected at the outset when you apply for a role advertised on behalf of our
clients.
Your Rights
You currently have the right at any time to ask for a copy of the information about you that we hold. As of
May 25th 2018, you will have several improved rights in relation to how we use your information including
the right without delay, to:
- Have access and obtain copies of your data;
- Have inaccurate/incomplete information corrected and updated;
- In certain circumstances, to have your information deleted or use of data restricted;
How we hold your data
How long we hold your data for is subject to legislation and regulatory rules we must follow. It is our
current intention to seek consent again bi-annually and you can opt to have your data removed at this point
also. We will safely delete and destroy all data we hold on you at this point.
Withdrawal of consent
You have provided us with your consent to process your data, for the purposes of using our services and
applying for open vacancies. You have the right to withdraw at any time. In order to do so, you should

We will update our Data Privacy Notice from time to time. Any updates will be made available and, where
